52-Week Photo Challenge: Week 4 | Portrait: Headshot
“WEEK 4: Portrait: Headshot:You shot a selfie, so now shoot a “selfie” of someone else!”
Featuring this week’s 52-Week Photo Challenge: Week 4… drums… My boyfriend!
I hereby officially introduce you to my snow-skinned, messy haired, hazel eyed and full of freckles partner in crime; Nico. In the background cool walls of Gracia, again.
I live near Gracia, can you tell? Besides, I would come here even if I didn’t live close by because I love these streets so much! The general mood is so artsy and young and alternative. It’s perfect for photos! And you know who’s not perfect for photos? My boyfriend. He’s so impatient and can’t stay put. It was hard work Y’all. But I did the best that I could.
Among all niches of photography, my favorite has to be fashion photography. So it’s obvious that I follow a lot of fashion photographers for inspiration.
Besides taking a lot of online courses, and seriously considering starting a Master’s Degree in Fashion Photography this upcoming September. The majority of the things I’ve learned about photography throughout the years has been thanks to Youtube.
There are a lot of professional photographers that post continuous content about their real life jobs on Youtube. Providing insider tips and tricks. Experiences. Reviews. Etc.
I have learned a lot from them. And not only with fashion photographers. I’ve learned a lot of tricks thanks to Peter Mckinnon for example, which is more of a city and landscape photographer. But most of all a cinematographer.
But in this post, I wanted to share with you my favorite fashion photographers on Youtube. First of all, because they are amazing photographers and you can learn a lot from them. And because it’s free education at the end of the day.
52-Week Photo Challenge: Week 3 | Artistic Red
“WEEK 3: Artistic; Red: This week shoot whatever inspires you. Red should be the focus of the image. So don’t be afraid to be creative..”
For this week’s challenge, I was inspired by the streets of the Gracia neighborhood in Barcelona. These streets are filled with life and art. So I made it my life’s mission to find art in the red walls and doors of Gracia.
52-Week Photo Challenge: Week 2 | Traditional Landscape
“WEEK 2: Landscape: Traditional Landscape: Shoot a beautiful landscape and share it with the world. Find a nice foreground and don’t forget the sky.”
For this week’s landscape photo, I chose Barcelona’s landscape. I went to the Park Güell and head straight to the highest point in the park; the Three Crosses Hill. And with all the city by my feet, I shot away.
As the 52-week photo challenge stated, there’s a nice foreground, there’s the sky. And for me, Barcelona city line is one of the most beautiful landscapes to see.
If you wish to participate in this challenge, or just want to know what it is about, head over to my 52-Week Photography Challenge: Week 1. I explain everything there!
Let me know what you think about my photos in the comments! And if you are doing the 52-week photo challenge yourself, don’t forget to use the hashtag #52weeksab so we could check them out!
