PHOTO DIARY

Hello everyone! Welcome to Sunday’s photo diary about a beautiful sunset walk we had in the fields. All my photo diaries are usually short in words and full of photos. But today’s photo diary will be full of photos, yes, obviously. But filled with words as well.

Certainly, the protagonist of this shoot was definitely, the skies. Those sunsets that leave you breathless, full of colors and textures.

Seems like, walking through the fields is one of my favorite things to do when we are in the countryside. We don’t do them often because we are here during the summer, and the heat can be hard on our souls. As a result, we make them really early in the morning, or at sunset when the sun is lower.

Walking, besides being a form of mild exercise, for me is more of a brain exercise. I get to free my mind from day-to-day stress, be in contact with nature, and relax. Also, it’s a great time to take photos of the scenery and create a photo diary afterward to remember back when the years go by.

I’m especially nostalgic because on Saturday we officially move to Madrid. And even though I don’t know how permanent our stay there will be. I feel very nostalgic leaving these lands behind for a while. That sounded a little medieval, but hey, that’s how I feel.

Above all, Barcelona has been my home for the past almost 7 years. And has been the witness of many of my most precious memories. But now, we move to a new chapter together, Nico and I, and I couldn’t be more excited and looking forward to whatever comes next! As long as we are happy together I guess it doesn’t really matter.

SETTINGS

Onto more technical matters… First of all, I wanted to clarify that all of the photos in this photo diary were taken at an aperture of 2.8 – as you all know, that is my sweet spot – and that day I was shooting underexposing a bit and exposing to the highlights. To preserve as much detail as I could of the sky. If not they would’ve turned out completely burnt out.

Finally, I really hope you enjoy this kind of post because I really enjoy making photo diaries. Surely, let me know in the comments below!

In addition, if you’d like to keep up with my daily shenanigans, please go ahead and follow me on Instagram,¬†or subscribe to this blog. Because I will be sharing a home tour soon and its and bits of our new house. Therefore, make sure to stay tuned!
