Life’s Little Pleasures

Life's little pleasuresMy life’s little pleasures. Certainly, I have a few. Want to know something that doesn’t fit into that category? I’ve been sick for as long as I can remember. I get something, then I’m fine, and then I catch something else again. My defenses are as strong as ever it seems.
I’m currently fighting pharyngitis and I have no voice whatsoever. So that’s fun!

On a more positive note, I have my family here in Barcelona! Specifically my sister, her husband, and her little baby princess. So that has definitely lifted my spirit.

Today I wanted to gather up a list of life’s little pleasures that I’m grateful for! Just to keep my mind on a positive track instead of complaining about how weak and ill I am.

Life's little pleasuresTHE LITTLE THINGS

I think this is my absolute favorite moment of the day. Waking up early, having all that morning sunshine coming through the window and sipping a hot cup of coffee. A peaceful moment for sure. I love iced coffee, especially in the summer. However, for some reason, my morning coffee needs to be hot to work its magic. Call me a creature of habits.

I don’t know what I would do without music. I listen to everything really. But my go-to’s are hip-hop, indie rock, 80’s and 90’s rock bands, and sometimes I even venture in classical music. I’ve always had a deep connection with music. I learned to play the piano by myself as a kid, just by listening to the notes and then repeating them until I memorized them. But I have no idea how to read a partiture though because as I said, I learned by listening.
I also learned to sing and I was a dancer. Memorized my dance choreographies by listening too. I knew what moves to make, but to know when to make them you normally have to count. You know, the “5, 6 7, 8” dancers do? Well for me it was easier to memorize which move was with which note of the song. My parents always told me I had a really musical ear. Don’t know if that’s a thing though, lol.

My number 1 addiction. I confess it. I have nothing to hide. I’m addicted to chips. Salty, spicy, alone, with lemon, with sauces. You name it. If you open my kitchen cabinets you will find a pretty impressive chip stock. You have no water? No food? No problem. I have chips.

  • PIÑA

My beloved piece of furball and my #1 life’s little pleasures. My dog is everything to me! The “it’s so fluffy I’m going to die” is my everyday motto with her. She makes me laugh, there’s no one in the world that gets as excited to see me as she does. She makes the most stupid things and cracks me up every single time. Couldn’t live without her. If you want to see her I have many photos with her in my Instagram.

Taking them or just looking at them. It gets my motivation going, and inspires me so much creatively! I also love to watch Youtube videos of behind the scenes, post-production, etc. Always learning with this one! If you want to see my photography portfolio click here.

Anyway, I could probably keep going, but I’m going to leave it at that. What are your life’s little pleasures?

PS. Today is my sister’s birthday. So if you are reading this sis, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
