One of my favorite things about fall apart from the sweater weather, warm drinks, and cozy homes are the new colors I get to wear with fall makeup. And I know everything seems so wintery and festive already but we are technically still in autumn, ok?
I’m a very natural, no makeup-makeup kinda gal so I never do crazy makeup looks, but on Autumn and Winter, I like to put on warmer and darker lip colors, and eyeshadows. Always on the nude-peach side of the spectrum though.
So today I’m sharing the main products I use to create my fall makeup signature look; natural nude and peachy.
I start my fall makeup as I start any other makeup; with primer. I stick to my one and only Becca Firstlight Priming Filter throughout the year. I haven’t found any other primer that gets rid of my dull looking skin especially in the cooler months, and also gives me an extra bit of hydration. That doesn’t mean I’m not open to new suggestions, so if you know a better one please tell me in the comments below.
Foundation has always been a tricky one for me. I hate to feel that I’m actually wearing makeup, and I absolutely hate to feel and look cakey. But I have rosacea and it gets worse in the cooler months, so I feel like I need a fuller coverage with my foundation. But I’m not a fan of full coverage foundations.
Thankfully though, since I started my treatment for rosacea my skin has improved tremendously. So I get to wear light to medium coverage and feel ok with how my skin looks and feels.
I love wearing Nars Natural Radiant Long-Wear Foundation (in shade Fiji) which gives me a very natural satin finish. But I don’t know why I find myself leaning towards the matte side of the spectrum recently. So I’ve introduced Maybelline’s Matte + Poreless Foundation into my fall makeup routine. I always use a Beauty Blender to apply foundation and concealer though, so it does soak up a bit of coverage. And because the sponge is wet and it gives an extra bit of hydration, this foundation doesn’t give me a matte dry look (which I hate btw). It really gives me a natural finish that lasts throughout the day.
Then I go ahead and conceal my extremely dark undereye circles with Too Faced Born This Way Multiuse Sculpting Concealer in shade Vanilla. I always do full coverage concealer because I have very dark circles under my eyes.
During the summer I use my beloved Urban Decay All Nighter Concealer. But I find it waaaay too drying for the cooler months. So I’ve removed it from my fall makeup routine. And I recently tried out the born this way concealer and this little (not so little) thingy covers your worst nightmares away and it’s extremely hydrating too! It leaves a beautiful dewy finish.
Then I set only my T-Zone with Kat Von D’s Lock-It Blotting Powder in Light.

EYES AND EYEBROWS
I’m really boring when it comes to eyes. I don’t do crazy colors and most of the days I pull it off with just mascara. But in Autumn and Winter, I looooove the peachy look. So I do apply a bit of eyeshadow to give that peachy glow.
Currently, I’m loving the Urban Decay Naked Heat Basics Palette. I apply it with a very light hand though. But I adore this kind of colors at this time of the year. Then, I follow-up with my all-time favorite drugstore mascara; L’oreal Lash Paradise.
Btw, I’m currently on the hunt to find a small and thin mascara specifically for the bottom lashes. If you know any please let me know in the comments below!
For eyebrows, I stick to my beloved NYX Tinted Brow Mascara in Brunette.
I’ve been obsessing over the Hourglass Illume Sheer Color Trio. Love the bronzer, love the blush and love the highlighter. And since I prefer cream products in the winter, I would say this is the perfect match. Easy all-in-one product and perfect for traveling too!
Then I like to set my bronzer with a little bit of Hoola Bronzer just so it won’t smudge.
And last but not least, lips. I don’t like wearing lipsticks every day. But if I’m feeling a little adventurous I love to complete my looks with a peachy-nude lipstick, of course. I find myself juggling between three. MAC Matte Lipstick in Yash, FENTY Beauty Mattemoiselle in Spanked and an amazing recent find; Charlotte Tilbury Matte Lipstick in Pillow Talk. I love this shade so much that I might buy the whole Pillow Talk Collection she just launched a few months ago. (Lip liner, lipstick, blush and eyeshadow quad).
