I woke up today to a message from my brother-in-law saying “what’s up with that shirt half in/half out?” and I was like “what’s up about it?”. He finds my styling strange. And that kept me thinking, does it really look that strange? I don’t think so, it’s just a styling thing. You may like it, you may not. But I don’t think it’s a fashion mistake worth calling the fashion police.
And this morning interaction gave me an idea to write a post about police-worth fashion mistakes we all make. Because let’s be honest, even Anna Wintour must have a dark styling past. Or not.
52-Week Photo Challenge: Week 12 | Artistic: Transportation
“WEEK 12: Artistic: Transportation: Our world is one defined by how we get around. Literal or interpretative, find inspiration in transportation.”
For this week’s 52-Week Photo Challenge: Week 12 I wanted to keep doing what I was doing with others week’s “artistic” themes and take it interpretative instead of literal.
Also, as always I didn’t do what I first planned to. The majority of the times it’s because something just won’t work out. But this time was on purpose. I got a better idea and went through with that.
Yesterday, October 23rd, 2018, was my sixth anniversary living away from home.
As some of you may know, I’m from Cancún, México but I’ve lived in Barcelona for the past 6 years. It definitely has been a ride and I love Barcelona so much. It has been a part of me since I can remember, long before I even visit it for the first time.
That’s because my family is some version of the United Nations. I say that because we have a big mix of cultures. From my dad’s side, basically, everyone is Spanish. He is actually the first generation to be born in México. From my mom’s side is when all the fun starts because there are Spanish, English, American, Portuguese, etc.
52-Week Photo Challenge: Week 11 | Landscape: Reflection
“WEEK 11: Landscape: Reflection: Find a way to show your landscape/natural beauty in reflection. Therefore, the mirror world revealed.”
For this week’s 52-Week Photo Challenge: Week 11 I first thought on shooting a typical landscape reflected on the lake in front of. Or through a puddle on the floor. But then I thought that even though they look really cool; first it was going to be really hard to find a place in those conditions. And second, it was way too mainstream.
